“I think that the gender gap is huge and even more so in the technological world, and it is going to increase if we do not take advantage of all the talents.I think it's magnificent that Huawei has organized this meeting, where there are entrepreneurs, women dedicated to technology, and where we have a lot to do to promote the incorporation of women into these areas," said former Secretary of State, Gloria Hutt, who also shared With these presents part of his personal experience and the challenges he has had to face.
For her part, the executive director of Kodea, Mónica Retamal, stated that “part of what was nice to hear today is that we are all very committed to reducing the gaps, to helping each other.We are all clear that we have to move forward in community, in communion and in collaboration with others for this change to happen”.
The manager of Corporate Affairs of Huawei Chile, Leqi Deng, complemented what was indicated by Hutt and Retamal, indicating that "for us it is very important to be able to generate these instances, where we were able to meet women who have been successful in the areas in which we we work.Undoubtedly, we have many challenges ahead to reduce the gaps in the digital world, but we hope to continue promoting female participation in these areas together with those who attended this first meeting”.
